Description
Corne Choc DIY KIT Hotswap Split Ergo Keyboard comes with:
- 2x Corne Choc PCBs
- 2x Acrylic/FR4 Base Plates + 2x FR4 Switch Plates + 2x Oled Acrylic Covers
- 42x SMD Diodes
- 42x Choc Hotswap Sockets
- 2x TRRS jacks
- 2x Reset Switch
- Mounting hardware (screws + standoffs)
Parts that don’t come in the kit, but are required for the DIY build:
- 2x Controllers (Pro Micro or Nice!Nano)
- 42x Choc Switches
- 42x Choc Keycaps
- TRRS cable
- USB cable
Parts that are optional, but recommended for the build:
- Mill Max Low Profile Sockets (to make the controller hotswap)
- Mill Max Socket Pins (to make the controller hotswap)
- OLED Display Module 0.91″ 128×32
- OLED Hotswap Socket (to make the screen hotswap)
- 2x Rechargeable Li-Po Battery (in case you plan to make it wireless with Nice!Nano)
- (42 per-key + 12 underglow) SK6812 MINI RGB LEDs
Additional notes:
- PCB Supports only Kailh Choc Low Profile switches and Choc hotswap sockets (not possible to solder the switches directly into PCB)
- Therefore this DIY Kit comes automatically with FR4 Switch Plates. Base plates can be Acrylic or FR4.
- Split keyboard with 3 rows, 6 columns and 3 thumbs per half
- Supports VIA if you want to change your layout without the need to know how to code and flashing each time the controllers (requires to flash on first time the VIA keymap)
- You will need to know some basic programming if you’ll want to use some advanced features adapt the keymap’s layout to your needs
- You will need some basic knowledge of soldering + soldering equipment
- PCBs are reversible
